I need brutal honesty, guys

So I decided to do something a little different with my hair today. Shocking, I know. I always get nervous when I do something out of the ordinary, because inevitably I always think it looks dumb. However, I thought I would appeal to all of you to get your opinion on the matter. Because today so far, I'm thinking its not too bad. My main issue with my hair is how thin it is - it's ridiculous. So I worry a little bit about this making the top of my hair look really thin.

So please - be honest, and let me know if you think this is a workable alternative to the usual blowed straight look. Sometimes I just feel a need for change.

I like it. I think it makes you look a little spunky or something. The top doesn't look super thin to me or anything, and if you are worried about it, I am sure there is a product on the market to help you add some volume to your roots. I say go with it.

Brutal Honesty: I need to see it in person. You look really pretty in that picture though- you have a 'glow'. (You're not pregnant, are you?) It looks really cute from the side, but I'm not sure about the front. I need to see it in person. I've been thinking about doing a similar post soon. I need hair help.

Hannah: I appreciate the comments (: I think it is something I can at least use every so often for an alternative to the same ol' thing all the time.

jt: I really do appreciate the brutal honesty, hooray! Mark actually said pretty much the same thing - he wasn't the biggest fan. And thanks for saying I look pretty - no babies though ;) I just had the front door open, so the lighting was actually good. By the end of the day, the hair had flattened out a lot. So as I mentioned above to Hannah, it will be good to use on days where I just need something different.

My hair definitely needs help - I wish it weren't so thin. I'm getting it cut in a few weeks before graduation, have any ideas?? I might be dying it again too, with Heather. Have another one of our "hair dying" parties ;) Haven't mustered the guts to do permanent as of yet though.

Ok, what you need to do is to feather the edges, so the hair is bouncy... and then use some sort of volumizing spray/gel/mousse to make the root area poofy. You can feather with a straight razor, but I'm not quite sure how. Sound dangerous, though.

Something like this.

Nice hair. Not many people have that type of corkscrew curl... show it off, yo.

Chrissay: You better believe it.

Friend of Caro: Yay, a new 'face'! Tis always fun, and any friend of Caro has to be awesome ;) Thanks for the tips, for sure! The razor does sound a little scary - knowing how clutzy I am, it probably would be dangerous ;) And thanks for the compliment as well - my hair is usually straight as can be, but with a little assistance, can get a wave to it (:
